Notes about the Differences of Mabenians:
All races and beings that are born on the Island have a goldish tint to their skin.
Even though there is a war between the Humans and Elves, they both take turns guarding the main entrance to the Island.
All of the half-races are treated with scorn, except for the few villages in the center of the Island, where all are treated the same.
Around the Island there is a Barrier, it diffuses light, and unless you enter correctly you will never even see the Island. The
    Barrier automatically transports you to the other side.

Time: 10 days = 1 week (ten-day), 4 weeks (ten-days) = 1 month
    12 months = 1 year  500 days  = 1 year
    The extra days are special feastdays.  The feastdays are celebrated by all.
    There are 10 feastdays, each being two days long

Humans live to be about 80 - 90 years old
Elves that aren’t immortal live to be about 1600 - 1700 years old
Half-Elves live anywhere from 80 - 900 years old, depending on how much elven blood they have.  Some Half-Elves are Immortal also.
Shapeshifters are considered evil and have a life span of about 300 years

Magic: (a big part of any fantasy story)
    Both Humans and Elves have a different style of magic.
    Humans draw power from the Universe and themselves
    Elves draw power from the land and the Elements
    A Third style of magic is Necromancy.  It is considered a major crime in any city. any persons caught using it are killed outright.

Shaile   - Human.  18 years old.  Long red hair, green eyes.  Possess Earth (Elven) magic, was instructed by Bryon and
    Silvernar.  Has the Gift of Magic, but is very nervous around magic.  Worships Alicia Windborn

Silvenar Starfire  - Immortal Elf.  328 years old. Journeyman Conjurer.  He is Bryon’s uncle, but Bryon doesn’t know this.
     Is teaching both Bryon and Shaile Earth Magic.  Worshiper of Feymox.  Can detect the Gift of Magic, and can see Auras.

Ebon Darkstar  - Human.  36 years old.  Master Wizard.  Youngest ever to reach Wizard rank.  Has extreme fondness for
    Fire Magic.  Familiar is a fire-drake named Ember.  Black hair and blue eyed, and he will always try to talk his way out
    of a fight.  Worshipper of Marken Sunfire.

Hasnafar  - Half-Elf.  60 years old.  Thief.  Worshiper of Sanborn Nighttaker. Blood brother to Bryon. Brown hair, with
    brown eyes.  Still has most of his connections in the Human Capital of Portal.

Sir Scott Hudak  - Human.  25 years old.  Already at this young age, he is a Knight, and also a Blademaster.  Long black
    hair, and green eyes.  Also known as Sir Warsmaster.  Worshipper of Ethan Darvis.

Amara   - Elf.  200 years old.  An accomplished Healer.  Has an unnatural fondness for frogs. (yes, frogs).  Dislikes killing.
    Wild long black hair, and gray eyes.  Worships Fallon Truthbringer, and frequently calls upon Quiles and Skane.

Dolan   - Dwarf.  150 years old.  Ex-slave, Fighter, and Master Smith.  Was a slave to a Human Duke named Vanag until
    Sir Hudak freed him.  He now follows Scott around trying to repay his “felt” life-debt to him.  Is extremely loyal and a
    Berserker.

Corwyn   - Human.  16 years old.  Prince. Knight. Heir to the Throne.  Likes his older brother Bryon very much, but dislikes
    his “Elf” friends.  Also known to get very defensive if the bastard issue is brought up about his brother. Worships Diane
    Truthseeker.

Justin   - Half-Elf.  400 years old.  Immortal Sage.  Has minor knowledge of both Earth and Arcane Magic.  He has an
    incredible thirst for knowledge.  Most prized possession is a magic book, which never runs out of pages. It was a gift from
    Strenvar, King of the Elves.  Worships both Feymox, and Marken Sunfire.

Tobias   - Human.  35 years old.  Ultimate mercenary.  Follows the code and never wavers.  Is a Blademaster, and wears
    Dragon Scale armor.  Worships Ethan Darvis.  Lives by his word of honor.

Aravahas  - Dark Elf.  450 years old.  Immortal.  Is one of the few dark elves ever seen on the Island.  Travels with Tobias.
    Uses a different style of Earth Magic. Has weird weapons which have never been seen before.  Has NO tolerance for any
    types of fools.  Considers most people cattle.

Terathon  - Dark Elf.  325 years old.  Dark elf like Aravahas. Uses the same type of Earth Magic as Aravahas.  Follows his
    own Code of Honor.

Malignar  - Human.  60 years old.  Master Wizard.  Stepped down as Master of the Mages Guild.  Taught Bryon the Arcane
    Magic.  Is now studying the forbidden style of Necromancy.

Pabolip   - Shapeshifter.  125 years old.  Is said to be an accomplished Necromancer.  Has unexpected mind powers.
    Usually seen as a Human fighter named Mike Strongarm.  He is known to be an incredible fighter.
